Melania Trump: The Most Stylish First Lady of The United States
Melania Trump is without a doubt the most fashionable First Lady since Jackie Kennedy, whether you like or dislike her husband. When Melania Knauss married Donald Trump (who is 23 years older than her) in 2005, it gave her total freedom to buy whatever she wants. Melania has access to the world’s top fashion designers as well as a multitude of Hermes Birkin and Kelly handbags. However, some high-end designers are against styling Melania Trump since she is the Donald’s wife.
Even though she wasn’t the quintessential “supermodel” during her brief modeling career, her runway for 4 years was the world’s stage as she paraded her majestic 5’11’ body and sophisticated sense of style amid the world’s strongest leaders on the international stage as First Lady of the United States (2017-2021). We had witnessed how Melania’s fashion style had transformed throughout her stay in the White House, from her stunning cleavage displaying tight-fitting gowns to a more modest well-fitted attire as First Lady, when her husband was running in 2016. Melania Trump, maybe the most meticulous and occasionally controversial FLOTUS fashionista we’ve ever seen, puts a lot of care into what she wears for whichever function she chooses to be attending. Here are some of her most iconic dresses since becoming First Lady.
November 6, 2021: Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach, Florida
Melania wore an $4500 Valentino A-line maxi dress with ostrich feather trimmed three-quarter sleeves to accept the Spirit of Lincoln Gala. It is customary to for the Log Cabin Republicans to hold this event in Washington D.C. but they move it to Mar-a-Lago especially so Melania can come. When she accepted the award, Melania said: ‘As I look around the room, the word “courage” comes to mind. It is the courageous spirit within each of you that has brought us together this evening and it is the courageous spirit of Abraham Lincoln, which gives us our guiding light today.’

July 7, 2021: New York City
Melania made a quick trip to New York City. Here she is exiting the Trump Towers residence to run some morning errands down 5th Avenue looking ever so chic. She seemed to have been more practical these days now that she’s no longer in the White House by wearing a pair of white pointy flats $645 Christian Louboutin and a tan Burberry blazer with white trimmings to match her all-white ensemble.
January 20, 2021: Last Departure from the White House
Melania Trump wore an all-black ensemble for her final departure from the White House, accomplished with a finely tailored pencil skirt by one of her favorite Italian designers, Dolce & Gabbana, a classically fitted Chanel 3/4 sleeves jacket, long black gloves, her all-time favorite $795 Christian Louboutin alligator embossed heels, and an outrageously expensive Hermes alligator Birkin handbag. Melania Trump’s style has changed from that of a New York socialite living it up with all of her husband’s wealth to that of one of the most fashionable First Ladies the United States has ever had, radiating a symbol of luxury and flair.
“I think Melania is a very beautiful woman, and I think any designer should be proud to dress her… I don’t think people should become political about it. Everyone was happy to dress Michelle [Obama] as well. I think they look great in the clothes. You’re not going to get much more beautiful than…Melania.”

January 20, 2021: Arriving in Palm Beach, Florida “Coming Home”
Melania Trump left the White House as FLOTUS, possibly the quietest public woman to have served as America’s First Lady in modern history. She stepped out from the White House for the final time, dressed in all-black, while she and her husband made their way across the field to catch their last flight as President and First Lady.

Melania responded to a reporter’s question about why she voted separately from her husband with the above statement.

October 29, 2020: Trump Campaign Event, Tampa, Florida
Melania Trump is pictured in a strapless black and white cheetah print midi dress by an unidentified designer with a black leather belt only days before the 2020 election. She finished off her black and white ensemble with a pair of $725 Christian Louboutin So Kate stilettos. Although the First Lady has been mostly missing from her husband’s 2020 presidential campaign rallies, she did express her support to him in a short statement to the crowd, urging them to vote for him for “4 More Years.”
“President Trump chooses to move this country forward. This country deserves a president with proven results, not empty words and promises,“
“Four more years. He is working on not only destroying the virus and building back the economy, they are focused on creating ways for people to safely stop isolating and safely gathering with friends at a safe distance.”

August 27, 2020: Republican National Convention, Baltimore, Maryland
Melania broke away from her previous stiff military-inspired outfit on the third day of the Republican National Convention, opting for a more fitted and flare vibrant Fuschia colored dress by Taiwanese-American New York-based designer Jason Wu (who became popular in the fashion industry by dressing Michelle Obama).
Though Melania’s Fuschia and black bows dress were most likely custom-made for her, a comparable dress sells for $800. The first lady wore Manolo Blahnik’s velvet black stilettos, which sell for $675, with her brightly colored cocktail dress. Melania let her wavy hair down and rocked her characteristic smoky eyes and clear lip gloss with light make-up. She also wore very little jewelry, allowing the incredibly feminine outfit to speak for itself.
August 25, 2020: Republican National Convention at the Rose Garden, White House
Amid a pandemic, Melania Trump stunned us in a dark green military-style double-belted jacket designed by London designer Alexander McQueen for her Republican National Convention speech at the Rose Garden. This durable and well-tailored jacket was previously $2,450, but it’s now on sale for $1500, but it’s already sold out. She wore her jacket with a two-buckled belt and a matching color pencil skirt with a subtle flare at the hem to complete the look.
Melania Trump has been condemned for not supporting/dressing in more American designers during her four years as FLOTUS despite being the most-watched and talked about public female in the world. To her justification, several American designers, including Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs, have openly said that they will not dress her from the beginning of her husband’s inauguration in 2017. So much for putting politics aside and allowing fashion to be what it is.

How is that possible? Melania Trump donned a $39 Zara creation that read “I Really Don’t Care. Do U?” And she wore this jacket while she was visiting a Texas-based immigration detention facility. People criticized her for giving away such a sarcastic message through her outfit. In her defense, her press secretary said that there aren’t any hidden messages, it is just a jacket.
“It’s a jacket. There was no hidden message. After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn’t going to choose to focus on her wardrobe,” the press secretary’s statement read.
But, we are of the opinion that this is one of her least impressive wardrobe choices. However, we still included it since Melania admitted later that this jacket was targeted against the left-wing media that often criticized her. She wanted to tell them all that she didn’t care.
“It was for the people and for the left-wing media who are criticizing me; I want to show them I don’t care” because Melania thought she was the “most bullied person in the world.”
